On anchor rollers: I use a snubber, yes. But my rollers are through bolted to the boat with, I believe, 6 or 8 bolts and hang over the bow only a bit. I have never thought they were inadequate to bring in the anchor, even if breaking it out under power, or to hold the chain as it goes out over the bow. I will rethink that, but Jim Ball, I don't see how one could make a much stronger anchor roller for the 382.
On refrigeration: Jim C., I have added removal insulation on the insides and inside the bottom of the box, but not drilled into the sides to "fill" the voids where old insulation may have disappeared. Did you do that? I have an engine driven compressor, water cooled lines, running a holding plate. If I run my engine for an hour a day, the box stays cold with the current system, but I am not sure how much longer I can keep it alive. I have considered changing to a Frigoboat. What kind of amperage do you think it requires? do you run one on your Catalina in the Caribbean? How many hours a day does it run and draw on the batteries? Thanks.
