Account Confirmation Email Issues

I'm sorry, folks. I've been buried with work the last few weeks.
Hopefully, everyone has checked their "Junk Mail" folders, right?
What's odd is that some other Users have created accounts just fine.
I'll see if I can figure out what is going on.

As a quick heads up, I also recently created an account and am still awaiting a confirmation email. Attempted to have the email resent and double checked the junk email folder but unfortunately nothing received.

Hi there! Unfortunately having the same issue. Tried a few times to resend the verification email, and checked the spam folder. No verification email in the inbox or spam after a day of trying.

Hi folks. I'm sorry for the delay. I've actually been out sailing!
I think I finally figured out what was happening. For some reason, my server disk was filling up, and I have it cleaned up now with plenty of space.

Hi Mark, thanks for looking into it. And hope you had an amazing time on the water. The last couple of weeks it was really nice here in the pacific northwest.

I tried to resend the confirmation email a few times but unfortunately didn't get anything in the inbox or junk folder. However, the forum shows me the "The confirmation email has been resent." message at the top of the screen.
 
Hi Robert - I’m very sorry for the delay and hassle.

Short Story: I manually activated your account so you should be able to post (and change passwords). Note: in the system, there is not a dot after the ‘ca’ in your email. Let me know if the system still isn’t allowing a password change, and I will set a temp password that you can change on next login.

Long Story: I finally tracked it down and certain email systems (like Gmail and apparently Shaw) have extra security that requires a reverse DNS entry for our server. Without that entry, users of those systems either don’t receive our emails or they are flagged as potential spam. The problem is I don’t think the hosting service I use allows a PTR reverse DNS entry. So I’m trying to find a work around. I might be moving the whole system to a different host because I’ve also not been happy with the speed in some instances.

I'm in the gmail camp so haven't received a confirmation email. I'll just wait to see when it gets activated... A reverse DNS is pretty much a requirement for reliable email delivery these days, so hopefully you'll find a solution.
 
Hi Mark... I found the confirmation email but my account is currently awaiting approval by an administrator. Is there a time frame on this?

Hello there... I'm a new 1979 Morgan 382 owner (Kamahele), and I originally signed up to be a member of the forum after providing my gmail address. I never got a verification email (even after checking my spam folder). I tried several times to resend the verification, but no joy. I finally tried providing my hotmail address, and was able to receive and reply to the verification email, but it's been sitting in pending status for some time now... the message says:
  • Your account is currently awaiting approval by an administrator. You will receive an email when a decision has been taken.
Is there a problem with the site? I'm not able to open attachments or jpegs of drawings and other cool Morgan stuff.

HI Mark. Sorry to bother you - not receiving the confirmation email for new member sign up, I have a gmail address, so that may be the problem. I'd love to see the 384 owner's manual, drawings etc. Thanks, Chris

I was able to get logged in, had two passwords saved for some reason and was using the wrong one. Just to let you know I never did get any emails for password reset. Thanks.
