Hey Mark. I'm having this same issue, I was hoping you could help me as well.I’m sorry, Gents. I approved the accounts yesterday and apparently something is not working. I just re-approved them - please let me know if you can get in now.
Thanks,
-Mark
I'm in the gmail camp so haven't received a confirmation email. I'll just wait to see when it gets activated... A reverse DNS is pretty much a requirement for reliable email delivery these days, so hopefully you'll find a solution.Hi Robert - I’m very sorry for the delay and hassle.
Short Story: I manually activated your account so you should be able to post (and change passwords). Note: in the system, there is not a dot after the ‘ca’ in your email. Let me know if the system still isn’t allowing a password change, and I will set a temp password that you can change on next login.
Long Story: I finally tracked it down and certain email systems (like Gmail and apparently Shaw) have extra security that requires a reverse DNS entry for our server. Without that entry, users of those systems either don’t receive our emails or they are flagged as potential spam. The problem is I don’t think the hosting service I use allows a PTR reverse DNS entry. So I’m trying to find a work around. I might be moving the whole system to a different host because I’ve also not been happy with the speed in some instances.
Anyway, thanks for your patience!
