    Can any tell me if all the 383 came with the tube below deck aft that the deck drain,and other drains are connected to was a standard item. Has anyone had any problem with it coming lose has anyone taken there's out and plug the holes. Thanks

    My 1981383 has the original through hull fittings which are glassed to the inside of the hull on the outside of the hull there is no flange or exposed fitting only a hole is this the practice of morgan on this year of boat? And can anyone tell me if there is a advantage to this type of fittings...

    All of my thur hulls with valves below the water line have fiberglass built up like a pyramid around them are all Morgan's in that eara built that way ,how are you suppose to inspect them for corrosion ,thanks

    I saw on one of the threads was talk about hull number I'm assuming it was the number of the hull when popped out of the mold,mine 1982 383 how do I find that number, thanks

    So then the packing must center the shaft in the bronze tube because when my quadrant has pressure from the auto pilot the shaft moves about 1/2 or so but the shaft packing is leaking water I put new packing in last year but I haven't adjusted the nut after putting 1k miles on it .my autopilot...

    Ok thanks, I just talked to a guy who said there is a bronze fitting at the bottom of the shaft tube with 4 screws, its where the shaft enters the bottom of the hull ,do you know anything about that

    Ok thanks, I'm pulling the rudder when I haul out next week, wasn't sure about the bushing if there was one I wonder if Ted brewer would have that info on the plans or drawings of the 383

    Ya I'm not sure but when I'm under way and my liner drive auto pilot makes a turn putting pressure on the quadrant it has about 1/2 to 9/16 play , thanks

    My 383 rudder shaft has lot of clearance between the shaft and the tube in the hull does anyone know if there is a replacement bushing for that. Thanks
