Your webmaster is moving to a trawler....but will still be your webmaster

As with many sailors I am moving to a trawler so I can get my dear wife more interested in boating and because a deal came along that I could not pass up. I found a clean, local, and lightly used 1999 Mainship 390 that was priced to sell. We have had our eye on the Mainship 390 for several years and decided to take the plunge while interest rates were low. With that said, I will post my boat for sale on the site and would appreciate your passing the word along to your jealous friends who may be interested in their own Morgan 38. It's located in Wisconsin and has always been in fresh water.

Also, please rest assured that I have no intentions of abandoning the many users of this site until such time as I retire and have to downsize my data center. In fact, I may even try to organize a Mainship trawler website because the existing sites stink.

Alan,
Nice choice. Deanna and I have considered that exact choice as the ideal boat, if and when we would want to make the transition. Remember, you will always be a sailor, because you have retained a sailors savvy.
Good luck,
Larry

Alan,

I surely wish you the best. Your contribution to this group has been and is invaluable. Boaters share common problems. I for one, hope you will continue to share some of the inovative solutions you will find in the "trawler world" with us "slow boaters" on the Morgan 38 page.

Your Friend,

Vic

PS - If you decide to head south in your new boat drop by Matthews Point Marina on Clubfook Ck. It is about 3 miles off the ICW off the Neuse River across from Oriental, NC. There a beer, a good meal and a few stories waiting.
