Last weekend I took Eliana to Santa Cruz. We stopped in Half Moon Bay on the way back. It wasn't much of a sail, motoring into 15-30 kt winds, and seas up to 12'. Both ways We could navigate by the wind vane. Any time we turned and though we might be able to sail, the wind shifted. But it was good for a shake down- she did really well in those conditions.
The only sailing we did was when we made the turn to the golden gate. With only half the jib, we made 7-8kt SOG.
