Hello -
We are getting ready to move our "new to us" 1984 384 from the commissioning marina to our permanent marina on Lake Michigan for the summer. Our Perkins 4-108 starts easily and oil pressure and charging gauges show expected readings. The temp gauge did not move much, we ran the engine for about 10 minutes with little change in the temp gauge, the heat exchanger was cool to the touch, the coolant lines were warm-hot (but not too hot to keep a hand on them) and we had water exiting the exhaust.
I am wondering about how long it would take to see an operating temp on the gauge, it worked as expected during the sea trial, just looking for some input as I had some raw water heat exchanger hoses replaced since the sea trial - thoughts?
Greg
