The pits!

Sue and I are now at anchor on the California delta till Halloween. We naturally spend a lot of time in the cockpit. I have not been on that many boats, but my firm conviction is that the cockpit is the Barcalounger of sailboats. The coaming height is genius! Thanks Ted!

One thing we found that makes the cockpit design better is extending the overhang of the dodger enough to shield a sitting person from the rain, with having to put the dodger/bimini connector in.

Bonnie and I just returned from a 5 week cruise up from Long Island Sound to Newport, Scituate, Boston, Glouchester, Onset, Hadley Harbor, Cuttyhunk, Block Island and back. While on this trip we met up with numerous other boats and shared their cockpits for evening cocktails. Sitting in our cockpit on the next to last day, in a 25kt close reach down the sound, Bonnie mentions that of all the boats we visited, she thinks our cockpit is the most comfortable. Thanks Ted!!!
