<div>To my northern friends...Please take the snow back where it belongs. A week of cold
weather and white stuff is enought here in Eastern North

<div>I agree with Vic. Blowing 60 with sleet and snow here in Va Beach VA. It isn't susposed to do that in the Southland.
But Deb and I have found alternate ways to keep warm this cold, cold afternoon.Capt Robert E

Hear-hear!
I like snow, but they called for a "flurry" here in the DC area...we've got over 10" already and it's still coming down.

A GOOD SNOW LIKE THIS ONE DOES GREAT....IT KEEPS PEOPLE OFF MY ROADS AND OUT OF MY WAY.....I'M A BAD DRIVER.
HERE "SNOWING" YOU

My 383 (Isabella )is in her cold cradle in Northern Michigan where the snow is only 6"deep ..We would be happy to take all that white stuff off of your hands being as the Great Lake levels dropped about 3 feet last year and many boats will be with out doggage this summer if the snow doesnt get here soon.

Snow? What snow? Here we are on the San Francisco Bay feeling depressed that because of the rain we only got to go sailing once this week. Its cold too! Yesterday it hardly made it up to 58 degrees.

Carl: I'm from So. Michigan (Detroit BYC. The others commenting on snow don't know what snow ( and cold)is like here in the Great Lakes. But, on the other hand none of us are liveaboards, either. I have seen a few around Lake St. Clair in the past but they are few and far between. Incidentally, I hear that the real cause of the lakes being down is the lack of cold and iceing over. Evaporation during the winter is reputedly the greatest cause of low lake level. In the past two years the lakes have not had the ice as in the past and this year seems to be no exception. Low water has become very critical around here. St. Clair is very shallow as you doubtless know and it has raised hell with the racing season. Many guys with 7 to 10 foot drafts had to quit local racing and could only do the Huron and Michigan races. Stella Maris is a CM 38 and only draws 4 ft. so I have not been so restricted. Of course I can't rely on putting the board all the way down to 8'8". Sure hope we get more water in the spring, but NOAA is still predicting low levels. Good sailing and may the wind be on your quarter. Jim Hudnut.

<div>JIM. re low water. I live in Plymouth but my boat is in Charlevoix (Mi). I'm heading up this weekend to measure the water debth in my slip. I had about 1 1/2 feet to spare last fall but they are predicting even lower this yr. My M38/383 draws about 5 so hopefully ok..Stay out of the mud.Carl
