re: panel on seat for shower

Capt Steve
Hi well we are now in the water with are newly purchased 1985
Morgan 384. We fall in love with this boat a little more each
time we go aboard and I believe all of our dock mates have
fallen in love with her also. Inside and outside she is
definetly a classic look. I'm wondering about a panel that is
on the front of the shower stall seat. It has about 6 to 8
bolts or screws in it. I was wondering if there is any way to
create additional storage in this area or if this area is for
accessing plumbing or electricall. There is a similiar panel
behind the head just below the storage cupboards. If you have
any info or thoughts on this I would appreciate it. By the way
we finished off a prepurchased cupboard door and attached it to
the bathroom counter top and found just the right mesh laundry
bag for the hamper area. Lots of counter space now and a large
space for laundry. Works great.
Thanks.

<div>Linda,My 382 had already replace both those panels with inspection / access hatches. The answer is yes there is space available for storage behind both (with a little work). West sell those hatches for about $50.Fairwinds and Rum Drinks,Vic
