Price of 1983 M383 and 1984 M384

Can someone tell me what the new boat price was in 1983/84? I am
looking at a couple of boats and would like to know where the
started. Thank you. Bpb

What difference does it make in what they cost new? The question should be determined by the equipment and condition as it is at the present and what you are willing to offer.
 
I find it helpful. If that troubles you I am sorry. I still am looking for more info on new boat pricews in 1983 and 1984. Thank you to anyone else willing to help. Bob

I don't have numbers for an '83 boat, but maybe this will help. Thge orginal base price for a new, 1978 M-382 was $48,900. In July, 1979 the base price had jumped to $59,950. My boat, hull #179, sold for $64,374, including a bevy of popular options -- including roller furling, swim ladder, bimini, dodger, bow roller, hot water heater, second water tank, and a dozen or so more. With a little luck, maybe you can use the cost of living figures for those years and extrapolate close to the cost of a 1983 model.
