October Sailing

tfrere

Thomas McNulty
October is the most ideal time for sailing near the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain. Yesterday was no exception with a NW wind ~15 knots and nearly flat seas. My middle daughter and I took advantage of some fabulous sailing.

I am not a Facebooker but anyone wanting to see more photos and possibly a video can go to the Facebook page in the first photo.

Tom: As I've said in the past keep your sailing reports coming while we Northerners have to put the boats to bed for the winter. they are nice to see.

I won't always have pics but I try to sail quite a bit in the winter. We have times when it gets too cold but I can usually find nice days at least once per month.

Sailing home a week or so ago. This time of year we get great winds and chilly temps. Too bad these conditions only last a short while. Two more weeks before she is into the slings.

Jim,
If you get the urge to get on the water this winter, come south. I'll gladly take you out again.

Tommy
Between your offer to sail and the prospect of "beignets" at Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans, we may have to make the trip again.

Jim

Are any of our fellow boat owners/members in Maine? I may be up that way this coming year in the late spring/early summer and would love to see some other Morgan 38x's in person and meet fellow owners....the same is true for anyone down my way, gladly would return the favor!
