Morgan 38 (1971) fuel tank...how big and anyone ever removed..

theirs ? Looks like about 25 gallons just guessing. Wonder if
it would come out thru the lazerette without much trouble ?

My 1972 Morgan 38 K/CB has a 25 gal monel fuel tank (under the deck, port side). I tried to remove it for cleaning because of a gas to diesel conversion. The tank will not fit through any openings without major surgery.
