Marion-Bermuda Cruising Yacht Race

<div>Just wanted you all to know our VIXEN, hull #74 (1978) just finished 3rd in Class in the Biennial Marion-Bermuda Race. We are very excited about that. This was her 5th race- she never did so well. We hit the Gulf Stream just right and had her going up to 12 kts over the bottom (GPS). It was wonderful.

<div>We raced in Class F - Electronic Navigation.
The committee used the US Sail Americap rating system.

That will show you our competition - We placed 54th overall, We beat (in class) a Starrett 45, a Freedom 40, Moody 36, Tartan 34-2 5D, CaboRico 34, CapeDory 36, plus 6 yachts who retired. (slow, light wind race)
Overall, we beat a Cambria 40, Swan 40, Swan 46, Hinckley 42, Oyster 435, Swan 482, Alden 52, Little Harbor 44, among many other. It was wonderful
