• Welcome to this website/forum for people interested in the Morgan 38 Sailboat. Many of our members are 'owners' of Morgan 38s, but you don't need to be an owner to Register/Join.

Just an idea.....

Anyone ever consider putting together an "owner list"? It could show who we are, where we sail, and what we sail.Have seen this on other sites and it's kinda nice. Just a thought from "the new guy"....

New Guy: Sounds like a great idea BUT with all of the crap and corruption that results from internet "lists" I wonder if it really is a good idea. Disclosing info on the net seems somewhat precarious. Best leave the determination to Al Tigner as to whether or not any info could be secure. Hudnut/Stella Maris

You might want to look at www.morganboat.org. That website has an owners database online for all models of Morgans, along with some other related Morgan info.

My feelings are in line with Jim in that I prefer not to post any listings on this board. This board is set up to be private which is why we have registrations. I am going to work on extracting the info I have from the registered users file (currently 119) and make a document that I could e-mail to anyone who is interested.

I like your idea best, Al. It would serve the same purpose but yet maintain a high degree of integrity. Jim Hudnut

As a member of the great source & board, I think it would be ethically correct to notify each member that you're going to specifically do that, before you go off and email said list without each member's permission. Send out a group email via the BCC to protect if need-be, requesting yeh/nay. Then delete/add as needed.
I certainly understand the intent is good - but must agree that not all live by the Golden Rules.

Be my guest with my info.

When I first join the list I was sent a listing of
names, address, and e-mails. This was when we put out a newsletter so address and names were on the mailing list. MIght be something we wish to do again?
