Ice box insulation...is there any????

I have noticed ever since I've owned my 382 that in warmer temps my "cold machine" runs a LOT. Leads me to believe that there is little or no insulation around the ice box bottom or sides. Does anyone have any info on this....is there any insulation and if not, how can it be added?Hope I don't have to hack it apart to do it...I have considered injecting foam thru small holes drilled but I'm afraid where it might end up or what damage it'll do.The foam does NOT expand with much force but I have not located any access so I wonder what is around the box.....anybody? Thanks in advance....Gene

As a former 383 owner, I can attest there isn't much insulation there. I cut mine apart, and found a sort of stiff foam apparently made with a resin spray gun with lots of air. There will be little room for foam injected. I gutted the whole area, and started from scratch. It's not as bad a job as you might think, and will yield superior results.
