I sailed down to half moon bay yesterday, and back today. Conditions were perfect. 12-18 kts wind almost the whole way. 4-6 ft seas. Broad reach down, close reach back up.
The sail back up is why I love this boat. After I left pillar point harbor and turned north, I trimmed the sails, and set the wheel brake. I didn't touch the wheel again until we neared the point to turn into SF bay. For several hours, she sailed herself, even following slight wind shifts.
I'll post pictures soon. My cousin (first time on a sailboat) took a bunch of them. I need to wait for her to get them to me.
