For sale

Indeed a strange day for me - Papeche is SOLD.
Please welcome Chris and Jenny Addington to the board. They'll make fine Morganeers!
They will be keeping her in Jacksonville or New Bern. Make sure to give them a warm Morgan 38x WELCOME.

I'm off to Tacoma to speculate on a Norseman 447 tomorrow.

Dick, Jim, Carl, Larry et al,
I can't tell you how important this board has been to our boat ownership. I've truly enjoyed our e-friend"ship" over the years.

Off all the ships on the sea of life, your friendship has been a large part of owning Papeche - I'm humbled and grateful.

Smooth Sailing and fresh warm breezes!

Tony

We will miss you.

Tell Chris and Jenny that if they need any help with their new purchase or just want to compare notes, to look me up in New Bern, if that is where they plan to keep the boat.

Good luck on your boat search

Best of luck on your search Tony. The Norseman 447 is great boat! Didn't they build it as an aft cockpit in addition to center cockpit model? Which one are interested in?

It has been a pleasure having you a part of these many discussions over the years.

All the Best!

Jim

Tony: Best wishes. If you are in the NW looking at boats, I am in Portland. Give me a call if you are passing this way. The Norseman is a BIG boat.

Tony: Good for you, made the sale and are moving on. The Norsemen's I have seen are very solid boats and sail very well. A guy here in Marion has a 40. There are other boats in that size range that are very good also, the Cambria 42-46 comes to mind as one.

Don't ignore us, you can still post on this board unless Larry say's no, and he won't do that. Your offshore experince has been very informational. Tony Trancony, an X Cat 38 owner and technical adviser on the Cat 38 site still keeps us informed and he is very valuable as an asset.

Enjoy whatever you find. And let us know!!!

Wow guys - I so appreciate the comments. Very heartwarming. As you can imagine, 17 yrs of being on the board with you guys is incredible journey in it's own right.

I've been working the market pretty hard to find our next adventure home. We're going to live aboard, just like I did with Papeche - live aboard for 4-5 yrs and set off...hopefully for more than 3 yrs and please, no more 9/11's (that's what made me come home).

I will stay a member here; I love seeing the new guys come on with their questions and it's fun to see the evolutions come to a solution...

You're right - I'm a member...just adjunct now.

Thanks again - that's so cool.

Guy's For newer board members and owners it would be good to know, Tony and Papeche have crossed the Atlantic at least twice. And at least once single handed if I remember right. Good info on Morgan 38-2

Hello All!

As Tony said, we are new Morgan owners, and couldn't be happier. I've been watching this forum for a little over a year and have been waiting for just the right boat. We finally met up with Tony and Papeche, and decided that was the boat for us. We just finished taking a week to see how far south we could go. New Bern, NC for now. Hope to finish the trip in October on down to Jacksonville, FL. I can honestly say, that these are some of the finest handling boats made. 80 miles in 11 hours, 7am to 6 pm, no tide, both a little motor and a lot of sailing!

Tony did an excellent job of taking care of Papeche, and I will endeavor to do the same. This website, and its members are an invaluable resource. It made deciding on a Morgan very easy. If anybody is down the Jacksonville way, look us up, we'll be happy share ideas, show off, and of course, have a drink or two.

Good luck and stay safe for those over in Isaac's way.

Chris
