<div>This in response to a note on this Board some time ago. I just
found the spare parts list referred to below.A few years ago as we were planning a trip down the ICW and out
to the Bahamas I consulted with the local and highly regarded
Perkins dealer "Trans-Atlantic Diesel" for a recommended list of
spares. In addition to the usual consumables they suggested: a
fuel injector, a salt water pump kit, a fuel lift pump, a
thermostat and gasket, an alternator and belt, hoses, a fresh
water pump,top and bottom gasket sets, and heat exchanger joints.
I went for some, not others and spent around $300. I also got a
starter motor as my rear main seal leaks and I'd been told the
fly wheel could throw oil onto/into the starter an ruin it. (This
after two unsuccessful attempts at rebuilding the seal.)
