Cruising this Fall

<div>Judy and I are thinking about cruising the Chesapeake again this
Fall aboard the "Delight".In the Fall of '97, (September 15th through October 28th) we made
this sailing adventure and were so pleased with the trip and all
the activities we were invited to witness that we thought it
would be fun to see if we could do it again. We left Niantic, Ct. and sailed in a very leasurely manner to the
Chesapeake and then zig zagged across the bay taking in as much
as we could, then left the "Delight" at Solomon,Md. for the
winter. In the Spring of '98 ( May 10th through June 15th) we saied back
to Niantic for the summer season on Long Island Sound in the same
leasurely manner. The question I have; Are there any others in this grup who have
had a similar adventure and if so have you any interesting sites
to visit or atractions that might be of interest. Also since it's
usually fun and good sailing practise to sail with other boats,
on extended cruises, is any one else plannining this type of
trip.

The Waters you speak off are my home waters. I have also made 5 trips between the chesapeake and Long Island Sound or the other way. I am planning (early stages) for two weeks in the fall for the Southern Bay, (Solomons south). While not being any better than the Northern Bay, The Southern Bay is different, and us Northern Bay folks need close to two weeks to begin to enjoy it. Otherwise all it is is boat moving. Boat moving is not bad, but crusing is better. The follow up asked for my e:Mail so be free to use it, or we can have a whole discussion on all the great places in the chesapeake.

I just noticed that the e:mail address does not show up, and I may have typed it wrong. It is royaltern1@aol.com

Welcome Back! The Chesapeake is a great place! There's too many great gunkholes to check out - so explore! Every sailor down here will have his/her favorite like Fairlee Creek, Lovely Cove off the Chester to name a few in the north. Down south talk to Jay from Solomons and Jack & Sue. While you're at it, make sure to link up with our Chesapeake Morgan Assoc. We have a really good time together and would love to have you join us at one of our raft-ups.

<div>Deb and I are looking forward to being in the Chesapeake this fall (late Sept thru Oct) on our way south. We'll be spending August sailing downeast Maine then early Sept to the Buzzards/Narragansett Bay area. It would be great to meet up with some of the group. Joe Vierra

Chris, you and Judy and any other Morgan owners are welcome to stop by . "Wandering One" is 384 Hull # 1, and is docked behind my house on the eastern branch of the Corrotoman River just above Brown's Creek. I'm a long day south of Solomon's or two easy days with any number of really pleasant stopping points between. Water and power on the dock, and a "loaner" if you need to go to town to re-up.
I don't check this page with any regularity, so it'd be best to e-mail me if y'all are stopping. donreilly@rivnet.net. Hope to see you. Don

<div>Can you tell me something about your Mullaney line. Do you know where
they originated in Ireland?http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/r/e/e/Nancy---Reeb/
