CM38 Mast Step

Has anyone replaced their mast step? Where did you get the new step?

I own 1970 cm38 #56, my mast step corroded away many years ago. I replaced it with a fiberglass stub that I bolted to the lead keel using 4 1/2 " bolts into tapped holes into the lead. The bottom of the mast slips over the stub. The stub was was made from scrap pieces of structural core 3/4" thick material epoxied together and glassed over.
