Chart Table Project

Terence Thatcher
As usual, I have multiple winter projects. I recently completed on: I installed organizers in the chart table. I decided to use plexiglass for some of the athwartship dividers so I can see what is in the bins. The large open bin on the starboard is now divided in two. Forward will be vessel papers and device manuals. Aft will be multi-meters and other electronic measuring devices.

I like the plexiglass divider idea.

Your chart table is not like mine.
In the photo on the right there is a large compartment, under it there is a cover that hides the electrical wiring terminal blocks?
And on the starboard side, closer to the stern, a small table is visible. Has it always been there or is it your idea?

1. yes, there are terminal, blocks for wiring under the floor of the chart table on the starboard (right).
2. What you identify as a "table" is a locker. The quarter berth isn't really big enough for two, so I put a locker along the forward starboard side of the berth to gain stowage. It extends about 30 inches aft of the chart table. Of course, I had to reshape the cushions. Under the aft part of the quarter berth, I also installed a second fuel tank, shaped to fit the contours of the boat. That required raising the bunk flat in the aft section by 2". i got 22 extra gallons.

Great idea! Thank you. Now I'll think about doing something similar for myself :)
