Bow ballast removal revisited

charles

Charles Dickinson
Am I weak or have any of you experienced the removal of your bow
ballast because you were adding on chain...etc. I have read some
of the messages but did everyone have a hard time doing this.?
I've been pounding for a week and all I got out so far is 82lbs!
Tell me I'm not going to China .! Did you eventually get it all
out.?? and how much is there.?? ps. I have not hit water yet.!!
You're wisdom is appreciated.
Pat.

Only 82 pounds in a week? It's good to have gotten that much out, but the bad news is you've got 218 pounds to go. My boat had exactly 60 lead ingots, 5 pounds each, a total of 300 pounds. The resin used to hold the ingots in was brittle, try using a chisel to separate chunks -- but stop when you find fiberglass!

Are you all removing the ballast from a 382 or does my CM 38 have that bow ballast and should I start looking for it?
