After the teak is done , I'm going to enlarge the lazerette hatch. My large bumpers will not fit. And i hate the recessed design . Im cutting the glass and enlarging the opening . At least a inch all the way around. I'll make a teak frame and bolt and glass from underneath. Should stick up 1/2 to 3/4 of a inch. Than make a teak top just 1/2 inch larger . Yes it will stick up . Ill taper the edges so to not be a tripping hazard when i raise the dink on the davits.
So im thinking of hinges and some sort of latch . No more rain water down the hatch !
