Rudder Post Stuffing Box

on the rudder post - is it 3/8" or 1/2"? What kind of wrench
have you found to most effective in adjusting the packing nut?Thanks,

Sorry, did the repack 2 winters ago and don't remember the size. I use a very large set of channel locks bought at local hardware store. Trouble is they're long, but once you get a good grip, it provided more leverage and worked like a charm.
