<div>Gentlemen,
First - thank you all for giving up your knowledge so freely.
Your experiences shared via this board helped me immensely
prepare for my first ocean passage...across the Atlantic. With
all the hooplah and stuff in my head, I forgot how to stop and
ran into Portugal! ha! Dos cervesas por favor...With a little of this guy and some of that guy, I formulated my
plan, worked on the boat to budget limit and set out. Some of you
have seen my little cruising stories, others have not. I returned
to the States for the holidays and some contract work after
leaving the boat in Spain - safe and sound. I will be building a
web page for those that are interested in those stories and a
section dedicated to sailing experiences, gear choices and
performances etc. I would like to offer all this in the humility that you all gave
it to me so freely that I should pass it on too. Mind you - my
experience is definitely novice to those opinions found on the
board. My point is that I've only been sailing 5 yrs, outfitted my boat
according to the principles of safety, common sense and budget
and set out on my first successful ocean passage.I've noted along the board specific experiences. Do a search if
your interested. I'm sorry that I've not been able to anwser
questions along the way, surfing the net is cost prohibitive
while cruising. Email is barely affordable to me at this point.
While Stateside, I'm catching up. Once back cruising in the Med
in April, I'll be updating my webpage. I'll be sure to post it.Thank you all again - really. This was a big undertaking as some
of you are quite aware of. Without your input, this would have
been a much harder challenge.Thank you. Tony Carey

All of us want to hear more about your heavy weather tactics--especially how you handled the morgan hove to and from a sea anchor. Hope you can post some of that information. I do not know where your web page is or I would go directly to it right now.
Thanks for keeping in touch.
