paint colors for deck

balthazor

From what I can tell from photos, I like the color on the 384s'
nonskid. My 382 is all white and is TOO white. Does anyone
know what color it is--that is, have you located a paint that
matches the original gel coat on the 384s? If not, any other
suggestions for giving the nonskid a contrasting color? My
experience on other boats is that I am ultimately dissatisfied
with the aesthetics of grey or light blue. Thanks.

Terry,
Did you ever get the information you were looking for? I discovered that the color of my factory non-skid is "cloud grey", a very light grey that is not at all obvious. It's just not as "hot" in reflection as the rest of the (white) boat.
FWIW, I just had some glass work done in the bow last week, as I rearranged the anchor windlass and anchor locker door positions. The fiberglass guy custom matched new gelcoat, on the spot, before spraying it. It only took him about 10 minutes to do the match. The match is so good that I can't tell where the old gelcoat leaves off and the new gelcoat begins -- and I know where the seams are!
Maybe you can find someone in your area who has similar skills?
