New 382 owner (hull #130 'Rhum Line')

Hello, everyone!
My name is Tony - my wife (Ashley) and I bought a 1979 Morgan 382 named Rhum Line on St Croix in the US Virgin Islands.
I'm a semi-retired software engineer and my wife is a retired veterinarian.
Rhum Line came with some definite positives (a new BetaMarine 38 with <10 hours, both solar and wind chargers, new bottom paint, shaft seals and cutlass bearing).
She also has some areas that will need energy and time to repair or upgrade (lots of plumbing - head, holding tank, kitchen sink; house batteries are near end of life; cracked hatch lens to replace; propane locker and oven install; repair fiberglass where old gauges were removed, etc).

We plan to sail her here along the coast while we work on the repairs and upgrades before we strike out for the rest of the Caribbean, giving us a chance to get to know her while we're in familiar waters.

I'd also like to thank everyone for their contributions to the community - I've been doing a LOT of reading in the forums and already have ideas for most of the projects.

As we become more comfortable with Rhum Line, I commit to replying where I think the contribution adds positively to the discussion and will do my best to research in the forums before asking questions that may have already been answered.

Happy sailing and fair weather!
Tony
