I know some here have abandoned the original Square D Breaker box and installed GFCI panels elsewhere. The quarter berth rear bulkhead is one spot and where I intend to install mine.
I'm wondering if anyone may have pictures of their installation? And wire routing would help too. I have yet to begin this upgrade, but hopefully soon. I haven't started to tear anything apart, yet.
Any advise? Photos, Glossy 8x10s?

We never replaced that rusted out box in the 110Volt system. We simply did away with the system. But if I was going to rebuild a 110Volt system I would put the disconnect switch just where you are thinking of at the end of the quarter berth. The distance to the entrance plug would be within the ABYC specs. Another thing we would do is replace the entrance plug in back of the coaming with a new Smart Plug fitting. When you look at one of those plugs you will know exactly why. Enjoy the project.

That's in the plan too Jim. The Smart plug.
I believe it will take care of the lousy connection the twist lock plugs have. I have already replaced a couple of those and the cord.
