Turns out I had a lightening strike last fall while on the hard and it took out my electronics. It took awhile to sort out what was not working and get insurance to pony up but I've reduced the price to $45,000. Looking for offers before I end up buying electronics that a buyer doesn't want...
I'm offering my Hydrovane for sale apart from my boat for $3,500 - new it would be $5917+Shipping. I put an ad on cruisersforum, but I used it on my Morgan 383 so it is set up correctly for the 382-4 models and only needs some pads built and holes drilled...
I have an old hydraulic AutoNav under the seat and it works pretty well but will get overwhelmed by rudder pressure in out of balance conditions. So will my Hydrovane. I have been on boats where that did not occur, but I think those boats were balanced well. I also had a Raymarine on another...
I have an interstate group 27 starting battery and have never had a problem starting. I rewired a few years ago so all my charge sources (dockside, solar, balmer from engine) are hardwired for charging through an automatic charging relay and my engine starter is wired only to the starting...

Hahaha. Great question and I don't know the answer really, but my guess would be that if you left the brackets on deck after mounting the pole on the mast after a while you would either be glad you did or very annoyed by the stubbed toes. I will say I've never wished I could put my pole on...
We used two light weight mummy bags. Or one when I'm alone. When not zipped up they form a Vee. We used a queen fitted on the bottom with the extra tucked in. And no top sheet. Each person has their own top, so no fighting over blankets. We have medium weight for cold. Wash as needed...
It should come out easily so no silicone or other goo required. It could be a bad o-ring, a replacement that was a different manufacturer but old thru-hull". I know, this is not helpful ☺️.
Lee, I never heard of changing it out each trip, but it makes a lot of sense in Florida. In MN we never...
