Has anyone done any extensive cruising and used a vane on the
M382? If so, which one did you use and why? I have my hands on a
venerable Aries. I'll be backing this system with the CPT
autopilot. I don't trust the Autohelm 4000 wheel mount in
anything but fair seas. Comments gentlemen?
 
Geoff Stevenson used a Monitor on his cruise to the South Seas and back. Apparently it worked quite well. See his article in the last newsletter.
