I've located a feathering prop that, according to the spec sheet, would fit the smallish aperture on the M382-384 series. It's apparently called the "Hydalign" and is manuafactured in Australia. The measurements on the spec sheet shows a largish hub of 4" or 5", depending on the model. It appears that the boat's shaft will have to be shortened to accomodate a hub that is a longer than the stock prop hub, but there is still room left for a conventional zinc. One advantage to this prop is that pitch can be adjusted underwater -- thus no need to haul to fine-tune the pitch adjustment, as with the max Prop. Supposedly this prop is robust and has been used in Australian waters for a few years. I'd like to know if anyone has any knowledge of this prop or knows of anyone who has used one -- on any boat. I hope this is as good as it sounds, but before I part with $2500 or so, I'd sure like to know more!
