Unstepping mast - 382 #192

So I do have the mast step in the bucket. I am guessing when I go to take the mast out that it will be severely corroded to the plug. I assume it’s a plug down there. Is there anything I can do preemptively to free things up or am I worrying for no reason? Also from the pictures that I’ve researched it looks like there might be two bolts that hold the step to the lead keel… can I remove those and the keel step come out with a mast if it is corroded badly.
My thanks to the brain trust in advance!!

Does it look to be heavily corroded? Mine was in good shape and came apart with no issue. My last unstepping was a quick pull it out and put it back in an hour later, so I didn't get a good look. But it didn't give any trouble.

If you unbolt the two bolts that hold the plate to the keel you can lift the mast & plate out of the bucket, but it won't go through the deck opening. You will have to deal with removing the plate with the mast dangling. You might try plugging the bucket weep hole and soaking the plate & mast with a PB Blaster or similar product.
