Welcome to being a Morganeer, Matd! Cool picture. It looks flat enough to be Florida?

Welcome! I'm pretty new here myself. Great pic. Where is this?
That picture was taken on the shake down run to Marco island. I plan on sailing south after the haul out this week. She needs a few repairs..

Yes welcome aboard and good luck with your new boat. These have been sailed across the Atlantic and throughout the Caribbean to my accurate knowledge. Please make sure everything is shipshape before you attempt any new voyages in this old hull

I’m the proud new owner of a 1978 Morgan sloop 382 , hull #24 And want to thank this site for all of the resources it offers I’m sure I’ll be asking many more questions thanks again for the add

Hi Lantzalot
Congrats on your choice of the 382! I hope you enjoy her. Did you find her here in FL?
I, and two friends, sailed Xanadu, my 384 hull 47, from Julington Creek Marina to her new home port of Sorrento, Maine last Spring. She took good care of us through a variety of conditions on the way.
I'd like to meet you and see your pride and joy. We live in Jacksonville also, about 6 mi. from JCM. Xanadu was at the marina for two years after going through upgrading and maintenance down at Green Cove Springs. There is one other 383 Morgan there at JCM that I am aware of, named Delia. We were on pier 3 near the T dock. Good neighbors there. Cole is the dock master and a really good guy. Let me know when you get back to Jax and maybe we can get together. I plan to head to Maine to launch Xanadu in early May, for a summer of "Downeast" cruising.

I bought a boat at mandrin marina and stayed there for 3 months before moving and sold the pacemaker flybridg and then aquired this morgan382 and I’m ecstatic about it and all of the support from the sailing community it feels like finding family and I can’t wait till I’m sailing the laurel Ann to Charleston and Hilton head for a bit and then the planet is open for me to roam ! Thanks again for the response see ya soon
