Shower sump pump

When I bought my M-382 (1981) last summer, it was in pretty neglected shape. After 8 mos. of work, I'm down to some smaller projects now. I need advice on where and how the shower sump pump suction is hooked up. Right now the suction piping is hanging loose ( not connected to anything except the pump suction). I have felt around under the cabin sole in front of the head sink for some type of pipe to hook up to and can feel small pipe running from the shower drain to the sole drain at the sink. Can't feel anything to hook the suction line to. I thought that the shower may drain to the sump in the bilge just ahead of the mast step, but there is a passage for water between the bilge sump and the mast step. Any info on how to hook up the suction line would be appreciated.

I have a small pvc pipe stubbed out of the shower sump, under the sink area. Maybe your's got broken off. There might still be a hole, however. If you cannot find it, you could maybe drill into the sump, although that sounds pretty scary to do--what if you miss? AT worst, drill into the top of it, run a pipe through the head cabinet and into it that way. I would discourage putting the stuff in the bilge, even if you quickly pump it out. It will gum up the works and probably smell bad.

My shower and head do not have what i would call a Sump. They Have Hoses or pipe which come out of the head and are accessible from the covers in rhe cabin (either the one at the mast or just forward. I know this although it has been a few years because mine were restricted. We replaced the hose from the head compartment to the hoses comming from the head and the shower which were in the bilge. They did not empty in the bilge just ran through it. I will check my boat this weekend. If you would like any further information let me know.
