Bonnie and I are heading your way. We are in Newport today to watch a baseball game tonight. Onset tomorrow, then Scituate by Wed. evening. That's if the weather allows. If your going to be around, give us a call at 516-459-3008. We'd love to meet.

Hi Jim, Sounds great. You can call the Satuit Boat Club for a mooring and i will let them know you are coming as my guest (just please remind me name of your boat again). They have launch service and showers, nothing fancy. Wed night is Race Night and i am committed to helping a friend race his 36' wooden ketch. I can swing by after racing if you are on your boat or in town. Will text you on Wednesday to see how things are looking on your end and to see about getting together. Best, Peter

After the fact report: We arrived in Scituate, MA on Wednesday evening. Peter Caruso was just heading off for the evening races. He had arranged a mooring for us at his Club. We spent 2 days there getting to know Peter and meeting his Wife Kate and daughter Katie. They shared their wonderful hospitality, making us feel welcome in their harbor. We are very glad to have met and consider them our friends. Peter's M382, #49, "Delight" is a blank canvas. He and his Son have lots of work to do and seem to be enjoying the process. The harbor at Scituate is a cruiser's dream. While rather small, it has all the necessary services. Which include: supermarket, laundry, hardware store, restaurants, ice cream shop. All within an easy walk of the boat.

We had a great visit with Jim and Bonnie. Both Morgan 382 crews hit it off right away thanks no doubt to the special bond we all share enjoying these old girls. I will say Dana sets the bar very high as to fit, finish, and gear. I learned a lot about what could be...Jim and Bonnie have worked hard to make their boat the special example she is. If we can get Delight even half way to that level we will have done a lot!
