Salon and Vee hatches

I am replacing the original Bomars with Lewmar Ocean 60s. The old ones are functional, frames still solid and watertight, but the lenses and support arms are nearing the end. If anyone has use for them, I'll part with them cheap.

After you install the new hatches, look into OceanAir. They are finishes for the inside of the hatches. They provide either a screen or a shade or nothing at all. We have had them for years now and love them.

How much is cheap ? I’m on a low budget

I am about to install my Ocean 60s and plan to bed them using butyl rubber tape. I have not checked the alignment of the holes from the old Bomars to the Ocean 60s but I can't imagine they will line up. I assume I will be filling the old holes with epoxy and bed the new screws with butyl rubber. Any additional advice?

@Lantzalot those old ones are long gone, sorry!

I think butyl tape is potentially the right way to go. My Ocean 60s were bedded with 5200 last year and are already leaking. Was done by the shop that did our decks so could just be poor workmanship, though I will say they did a very nice job on the portlights. Perhaps the flangeless, flush mount requires something with a little more flex to it like butyl tape to remain watertight? At any rate add it to the list for next winter!

Where are you located? I could be interested for parts.
