After 3 years of updating a 382 Morgan we finally put it in the water, Rockland, Maine. I could not have done it without the help of this website, thanks.
The reeling lines need to be replaced, what is the size that everyone is using?
Thanks again.Rick

Rick

Congratulations on your splashing. Our reef lines are 3/8". We carry 3 sets, though the third set is rarely used, we like to know it's there when we need it.

We are heading for Maine in mid July. If we get close to Rockland, we'll get in touch.

Whew! I'm glad Jim realized it was a typo. I was trying to figure out what 'reeling lines' were and why I'd never heard of them ;)

Congrats on the splash, Rick!

I hope you get lots-o-years of fun to compensate for the 3 years-o-refitting.

Keep us posted on how it's going.
Cheers,
-Mark

Yes, I it is reefing not reeling. Auto correct on the IPad and I did not catch it. Thanks Jim, if you make it up this way give me a yell.
Mark, it will be a little nerve racking at first, a lot of things to remember and learn.

Jim - our trip has been great so far. The ocean part was quite lively - too much wave action to heat water, etc. But still fun & a lovely overnight passage. We've covered 500 miles so far. Contrary to what I've heard some people say, I would never do that trip without radar. We had wind blowing 20+ knots and thick fog at the same time. And 900 ft ships passing, too. The AIS & radar worked like a charm ... big ships calling us on the VHF, etc.

It was also cold (44 deg F), and I was very happy we had installed a diesel heater. Made the cabin quite cozy.

Zia is up in Anacortes while we bopped home to continue working (sniff).

Tomorrow, we head north & take Zia to the San Juans, then into British Columbia & the Gulf Islands, and Nanimo. I'll post a separate thread in the 'Pub' with photos, etc. but in the meantime, here's our inReach tracker page:
