Morgan 38-2 Marion/Bermuda

Have paid the entry fee for a Vixen to go in the 2021 Marion Bermuda race, if it happens. Don’t believe I will be in the crew nor will Judy. My son-in-law Dave and my son David will be part of the crew. It will up be up to son-in-law Dave as caption to select the balance of the crew. I have recommended to him that two of the additional crewmembers be his 16-year-old son and my daughter Kathleen’s 16-year-old son. Hope all can get the COVID-19 vaccine before the race. This obviously will be required by Bermuda. The most trouble obviously will be the 16-year-olds. Son David has done seven Bermuda passages and will probably be the tactician and possibly navigator. Boat obviously will be inspected for category one offshore race with limited exceptions. 44 year old Vixen will pass. Will keep you posted when I know more.

Will fly to Bermuda for the awards and cocktail party.

Bert: Forgot to say hope all is it is well with you and your family.
Also this is Vixen’s sixth Marion to Bermuda race and her best finish was in 1999 at third in her class. Also remember seeing you and Royaltern in Hadley harbor.

We are originally from Buffalo, have been patriots fans for years, but now it’s go Bills

in Hadley Harbor, can’t remember how many years ago

Hello Dick,
I am glad to see Vixen is still campaigning in the Marion Bermuda race but I'm sorry to hear that you will not be on board.

Pat and I have retired to Maine but will always have great Memories of Marion and seeing you and Judy aboard Vixen. We sold EMANON this past spring as we were getting less time on board each year and the boat was not aging well without the use and care she was used to. We will charter when the urge to get out on the water and explore "Downeast" gets us. Come to Maine and say hello.

Stay Safe and enjoy a great boat.

It is wonderful that "Vixen" will be making another journey to Bermuda. It is sad that you and Judy won't be at the helm. It is fantastic that your children and their children have the talent and desire to make the journey. Please keep us here on the Morgan Board up to date on "Vixens" adventures.

Dick, It was about 11 years ago. You hosted Royal Tern and crew on a friends mooring at your yacht cub. You were also so kind to take my crew Art and his wife to church on Sunday. In case I didn't properly thank you, Thank you.
All is well here

Thanks to all you guys for your thoughts. Alan whoever bought your boat has posted some stuff on this board. I also think somewhere he posted that you had passed away. Certainly very glad that that is not the case. Jim you are correct I haven’t posted a lot of stuff or paid enough attention to the side. Thank you for reminding me.

And Bert I do remember your comment about us taking your crew to St Rita’s Church in Marion for mass. Find of you to remember that and thank us which I’m sure you did back then. Thank you for the comment and stay safe all of you

If you guys haven’t heard the Marion to Bermuda, this year, has been canceled because of the Bermuda problems.
