M38 Rendezvous

Robert C. Lindenberger
<div>To all interested Chesapeake Bay (Mid Atlantic) M38 owners.
There will be a rendezvous for M38 owners on Mill Cr., off the
Great Wicomico River, (approximate lat. long 37' 27"30'" / 76'
18" 50'") on the weekend of September 26 and 27. Great Wicomoco
Light is approximately 55 miles from Thimbal Shoals light and 65
miles from Thomas Point Light which is just about as "half way" I
as could make it. It is also a beautiful gunk hole. So far one
M38 owner from Annapolis and two from Norfolk have committed to
attending. All M38 owners are welcome and I hope for more than
four M38's to make the raft up. Please help me get the word out
to anyone I may have missed.See you at Mill Cr.Jay Green, NjordPS: Sorry for the late posting, my server has been down.

Jay -- I'm afraid that we won't be making it into the Chesapeake this year. I'm sending this from Nantucket, where we've been ashore for a few days. Monday, we're setting out for Martha's Vinyard, Newport, Mystic, and other nearby points for a few more weeks. I guess cruising with five and seven-year-old kids makes getting down there pretty hard--shorter days of sailing and more shore time are what's called for. The boat has been great. We've really done well with the cutter rig, flying a high-cut yankee and a staysail. Hope you have a good rendezvous. Lenny Reich
