Looking for a mainsail cover

I have an old one, worn but would get you by for awhile. You can have it for the cost of the postage.

I built one from a Sailrite kit. You do not need an expensive machine, I used a "heavy duty" home machine. Just put the biggest needle you can find in it (18, I think). It's not really any more thickness than hemming a pair of jeans.

Keep in mind that sunbrella loses its UV protection after 5-7 years, even if it otherwise looks ok. So, a used cover might not be a good choice if you want that protection. I learned this the expensive way when I initially replaced my sail and not the cover. After about 5 years, the leach of the sail (the exposed part while on the boom) came apart in my hand with almost no structure left. The rest of the sail was fine.

Thanks Stephen. I have a worn one I'm looking to replace. Canvass shops are absolutely crazy with their prices these days. Wondered if there might be an "off the shelf" one for the Morgan 38. I don't really need a custom one.

I have been using a dry cleaner that does sewing and has a commercial machine. I buy the sunbrella fabric and the thread from the web and carry the old items in. She is able to make a new one for the labor costs alone. So far she has really beat the canvas shops by a lot.
