Introduction and question

Hi,

My home port is Eagle Creek Reservoir, a small lake just west of Indianapolis. I sail a Hunter 23 and a Holder 14 there. I used to live in the Detroit area and most of my sailing experience is on larger boats on the Great Lakes. The best experience I've had was crewing on a Morgan 42, sailing mostly on Lake St. Claire and in the Port Huron to Mackinac race. I'm looking to purchase a larger boat and get a slip in Michigan City. There's a Morgan 32 for sale on the Great Lakes, and I was hoping it would be okay to ask some questions about the boat, even if it's not a 38.

Thanks,

John

Hi, I don't know anything about the Morgan 32, but Eagle Creek was my home lake with a 13' Pirateer, I live on the NW side of Indy, and now have a Morgan 382 on lake St Clair. Small world it seems!
Dave.

John, I have a 382 that I would be interested in selling. It is in Escanaba on Lake Michigan. The bottom has been totally re-done and has Interlux barrier coat just waiting for whatever bottom paint you would want to put on. I am replacing the cap rail and have all new teak. The cap is ready to install. I can send you a video of the dry fit. Only material cost would be about 150 316 stainless #12 screws and adhesive caulk.

I know comparing boats is a difficult thing. My boat has been stored indoors, has very good topside gelcoat for her age, new bottom, new domestic sewn sails, low hour engine, has been entirely freshwater her whole life. She also has relatively recent refrigeration (Adler/Barbour), NFM replacement ports. If you want more information, send me a message.
