Friends of ours, not in a Morgan, who are running the ICW down the East coast to Florida and on to the Bahamas, have let us know that they have stopped in St Mary's, GA. This news is wonderful and brings back many great memories. The City of St Mary's hosts a Thanksgiving dinner for any and all cruisers who stop on their way south. The City supplies the turkeys and hams while the cruisers provide the side dishes. The Riverview Hotel is the venue for the dinner and the week leading up to it. Bonnie and I were there for Thanksgiving in 2009. The generosity of the townsfolk, the Yacht Club members, the hotel owners and staff were amazing. We hope our friends, Dave and Beth, enjoy their holiday away from home. And we would like to wish all our Morgan friends a very Happy Thanksgiving. May we all enjoy the day with our family.
