first post, new owner... just introducing myself

Hey everyone, so I'm taking a pretty big step tomorrow and buying a Morgan 382. She seems to be a pretty rare model as best as I can tell and/or possibly some upgrades from previous owners maybe; single v berth, deep keel, cutter rigged, double spreader... excited and scared all at once. Coming from an older Morgan 28 that I taught myself to sail on it's a pretty significant step up. I hope to have many wonderful days ahead being on the water with her and eventually I may try an ocean crossing with her. She's been from California to Hawaii and back and I hope one day to make that same crossing. It's a dream of mine.

Any advice or words of encouragement or things to know about?

Anyone else in the San Fransisco bay area?

Congratulations,
What did the surveyor say?
My boat is in the Emery Cove Yacht harbor. There is another '38 there as well.

I am in Sausalito, and there at least 2 others here. I know the owner of one, never met the owner of the other. There is also one I have seen in Marina Bay.

Emery Cove Yacht Harbor is going to have all the docks rebuilt starting this year as part of an impressive multimillion dollar project. (2018). Small parking lot. Barely adequate shoreside facilities. Great harbormaster. Limited space as a yacht broker has many boats in the marina. I80 interchange hassle almost every day. No local chandleries. But then you probably know that already. I'm only there November through April every year as i'm a delta rat during the other six months.
