I have a 1979 382 #182 that came with an original sales brochure
showing a short bow sprit with the jib attached to the sprit and
a staysail which appears to be attached at about the anchor locker
bulkhead. Was this the original design? That might explain some of
the weather helm. Might be worth asking Ted Brewer.
