Boom End Sheaves

Ron
You're welcome to the last set. Give me a snail address and I'll send them to you. You pay the shipping. Remember you have to reuse the bronze inserts from the old sheaves.

Jim, they worked incredibly well! Any chance you live made the reefing sheaves? If so, I could use a set. Also, I only had 2 sheaves on the boom end fitting(1 aluminum), so should I send one back? I’ve spent hours getting the years of birds nests out of the boom! Thanks again. Working on Zelle today. I was shocked at the price of rigrites reef kit($249)!

Glad the sheaves work well. Keep the third one as a spare. I feel your pain with the nests. The last time I forgot to tape up the end of the boom we ended up with a nest of chicks that we didn't know what to do with. left them in a nearby tree. Next day they were gone. Never knew if it was Momma or cats that got them. On Dana the reefing lines are external on the boom so I never made those sheaves, sorry.

FWIW, I replaced all of these sheeve, on the end of the boom, and the reefing sheeves on the front, including the axles, with custom sheeves and axles made by https://www.zephyrwerks.com/
They would be a higher quality than the Shaffer (Delrin with bronze bushing), and perfect fit custom turned for our boat, and my axles were in bad shape and needed replacement too. If you contact them, I'm sure they still have my order with the dimensions for everything. (note, if you change it the center sheeve on the end of the boom is a different width than the other 2)
I didn't speak up before because I didn't want to interfere with another member providing a service. But if you are going to buy them, https://www.zephyrwerks.com/ is the place to go.
