Bolt Size for forestay chainplate ?

This is what I ordered if anyone needs this info in future. I would recommend to get all the bolts about quarter inch bigger to make the job easier.
This is for 2 bolts on top and 4 in front.
This is from McMaster

I was going to replace mine and could not remove them. Impossiuble to move the slotted screw on the outside and couldn't get a wrench on the nut inside. How did you get them removed?

I bought my Morgan with the chainplates off. But putting the nuts on from the inside required some tactical yoga positions. I didn't think I was going to be able to do it but many curse words later I got it done. My chain locker had quite of modifications so it might be different than yours.

Here is a pic before the chainplate went in.

Yeah, that is a tough job. Reaching those buggers is a mothe.... uh, you know what I mean. I bought a 24" ratchet wrench from Harbor Freight just to reach them. I got the nuts off, but extracting the bolts proved to be impossible. I think they were bedded with 5200 or something. They wouldn't turn, nor could I get swinging room to tap them out with a hammer. So... in they stayed. Luckily that chainplate is entirely external, so crevice corrosion is unlikely. And, it's unlikely that all of the bolts would fail at the same time.

Anyway, great job getting those things out!

It seems I may have to tackle this. While working on other things I reached up there to see if I could reach the bolts. My arms are long enough I easily reached them all, and they feel quite rusted. Ugg.
