I see different styles of Anchor locker lids. Is this because Morgan changed it several times, or did they all have a fiberglass and some replaced with teak? My fiberglass lid has some rot and it got me thinking, maybe rotting wood in the Anchor lid caused them to be replaced.
Anyway, the lid is foam filled, with a wood frame. On the starboard side there is a hole drilled for opening it, and that hole partly goes through wood. On the port side, the hinges are screwed into wood. And on my particular lid, the previous owner cut the nose for the anchor change to exit better. So, there is a lot of unsealed areas, the wood got wet, and rotted.
I cut the back off, and only the wood on the starboard side was rotted, and the foam was in fine shape. So, I cut some new boards, epoxied them in place, drilled the other holes oversize and filled with thickened epoxy, and when time allows (probably not sooner than a month) I will glass the underside.
