1980 M382 Green Flash for sale in St Petersburg, FL, priced at $17K

Richard Kehoe
Hi all,

I've owned Green Flash since 1993, and sentimental attachment caused me to keep her too long while living and working in Las Vegas. I'm retired now, but I need to simplify my life for the next few years. Hopefully another sailboat in the future to sail past the Exumas.

I'm in Delray Beach near West Palm in my FL house. I can update this thread in the future with more pics and all of the systems and upgrades. She has been stored for years and there will be work needed, mostly cosmetic. The injectors were pulled on the Perkins 4-108 when she was hauled and oil was added to the cylinders to forestall issues from storage. The last time I stored her for years, the Perkins fired right up and ran well. It has fairly low hours, 1750 hours.
CNG stove, King Air AC, Adler-Barbour fridge, 4-108, fairly new Doyle main, 130 genoa, high output alternator, 500AH battery bank using 4 group 31s, Batmon charging system, inverter, stainless ports, holding tank in head replaces keel holding tank, 7 barrier coats added so blisters shouldn't be an issue, standing rigging new ~2008, Raytheon radar and wheelpilot, electric Simpson-Lawrence windlass with cockpit and bow controls, dinghy davits, liferaft, etc. I originally had her surveyed by Pete Brown, who worked on the Morgan production line in Largo. He verified that the mast base upgrade was completed. I installed a new holding tank in the head, so that takes care of another issue.
I've done most of the installations and upgrade work myself in past years so I can provide plenty of detail.

I have limited pics on my PC in Florida; more in Vegas. For now I'll post a few pics of her in St Pete Municipal Marina just before and after she was hauled in Dec 2010. Storage and weather means that exterior teak, rebedding deck fittings, some interior teak work, rigging inspection etc. and general cleanup will be needed. There is still a do-it-yourself boatyard in Apollo Beach across Tampa Bay.

I can drive 4 hours north and meet anyone interested at the storage yard near downtown St Pete.

I'm looking for around $17,000; please contact me and we can discuss.

Thanks!
Rick
