Ok
As of 9/13 the boat’s been sold.
significantly more than the initial asking price ( it was in really good shape)

Congratulations and all the best to Jared O, who is now on his way with the boat to its new home in VA.

Hi all.
Made the difficult decision to sell Traveler, 1979 382.
Originally planned to do this last year. But, decided one more season sailing in 2020 was a better idea.
So, here it is...

Location: Middle River, MD
Quoting from the original owners manual:
“Ted Brewer Design featuring high performance hull shape, low profile cabin trunk, wide side decks with high ‘sea-safe bulwarks, keel-stepped mast, skeg-hung protected rudder and prop, and efficient deck and cockpit layout.”

Condition:
Traveler has been well maintained with no hull blisters or deck soft spots
chain plates, standing rigging, mast, etc are all sound.
Running rigging also all sound

Equipment:
Sails: 2 Main sails, a 135 Genoa, an asymmetric Spinnaker all in good to very good condition
2 Lewmar#16 halyard winches on mast
2 Lewmar#48 self-tailing 2-speed primary winches
Shaffer roller/furler
Hardtop dodger, Canvas dodger(needs vinyl), Canvas Bimini
Stackpack and lazy jacks
Repowered with a factory rebuilt Perkins 4.108 (less than 700 hrs)
Manual 2-speed windlass
Propane rail mounted sea kettle barbecue
Rollup dingy and outboard
Alder Barbour Super cold machine with large capacity fridge and water cooling pump option
3 burner Force 10 propane stove and oven/broiler
Fuel polishing/pump out setup added
Autohelm 3000 autopilot
GFI outlets
Galvanic isolator
Wind speed and direction instrument
Knotmeter
Depthmeter

As for the price.
I see asking prices for comparable boats all over the place
I’m asking $24,000
But, it’s clear that price may result inhigher bids if no one promptly makes an offer

Wow! She has the original over and under V-berth set up. A family with young kids would love that. Good luck.

Bob Your boat looks great--and at a great price too I should think. Do you have an update you'd like to share?

Boat is still for sale
I’ve been happy and a bit surprised that I’ve had another summer of sailing to enjoy.

As forTraveler ….

Recent work has included updating various electrical system components, improving the bilge pump, rebuilding the battery compartment, replacing a significantly worn cutless bearing, rebuilding the stuffing box, replacing the rudder packing, and adding on a canvas ‘bridge’ piece between the bimini and the dodger.

So, the boat is in better shape now than it was when I started the process of boat selling.
