Thanks Stephen. I have a worn one I'm looking to replace. Canvass shops are absolutely crazy with their prices these days. Wondered if there might be an "off the shelf" one for the Morgan 38. I don't really need a custom one.
I need to replace my a/c pump. I have a Little Giant but I can't make out the Model Number.
Any suggestions what and where I can get an appropriate replacement?
Thanks, but just lipstick. I blew the exhaust mixing fitting and filled the engine room with soot so I cleaned it as best I could and sprayed it in place.
Interesting. Thanks. So why is there a zinc in the heat exchanger? Is it electronically connected? Also, the fact that the zinc do disintegrate, are they not serving a purpose? Appreciate the education.
Perkins 4-108
How many might I have and where would they be located?
Found pencil zincs (1) at a bronze in-line filling just past the raw water pump, and (2) on the heat exchanger.
I feel foolish because I've changed the oil plenty of times before. I have a built-in pump for draining the oil. It was installed before I bought the boat so I can't say how it's plumbed. I ran the pump until it was just spurting but only got maybe a gallon of used oil out. The 4.108 holds...
Replaced the oil pressure sender and also the oil alarm switch. Solved the alarm problem but the new oil pressure gauge is maxed out and reading 80psi +. Did I maybe buy the wrong unit? The guy said it was a 100 psi gauge.
I feel quite embarrassed. ALWAYS TRUST YOUR INSTRUMENTS! What would cause low oil pressure? I thought I was taking off the oil pressure sending unit to replace it but was told this is just an alarm switch. Where is the actual oil sending unit located on the engine?
Can someone explain how the ignition is wired so that I can try to find a short? You know the ignition switch has an audible alarm that shuts off when the engine fires. Well my alarm isn't shutting off. I can manually turn the switch off to stop the alarm without shutting down the engine, but...
Thanks for the replies. I got the head outflow and the sink drain valves operable but the head raw water supply, which also supplies my a/c not. What do you think of my idea to cap off the head supply and use the sink drain for the head and a/c (they are both the same size). I will drain the...
Greetings Folks -
It has been some time since I visited the site. I tried selling Patriot but to no avail. Lots of lookers but no offers. I was selling for lack of use, so the solution, use her more. That is the plan anyway.
Got her hauled for a bottom job and am checking the thru hulls...
It looks like it might be a storm headsail. Not sure what that zipper compartment is for. Maybe it is made to zipper over the existing rolled-up jib. How heavy is the material? Is it torn up or just dirty? If it's a storm sail it might be good to keep it for cruising.

Hey Brett -
I have a beautiful well equipped 1982 382 "Patriot" that I either need to use more, or let her go. Unfortunately circumstances aren't looking good for me to be able to use her much. I am researching values and putting together a list of equipment. Enclosed is a picture to start...
